Companion Diagnostics

A medical device, which is often an in vitro device and which offers information required important for the safe and operative use of a respective drug administration or biological product is called a companion diagnostic. These devices help to determine whether a specific therapeutic product’s benefits to a patient will be of more importance that can overshadow any possible serious side effects or risks to treat a patient.
